Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. will outfit the U.S. team at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Fashion Week Daily reports. The American label will outfit approximately 1,500 American athletes at both opening and closing ceremonies, as well as provide custom wardrobes for their off-time in Olympic Village venues.
Polo Ralph Lauren Corp signed a contract with the U.S. Olympic Committee last week to replace Canadian apparel company Roots Ltd., which had outfitted the U.S. team for the past three Olympic Games and was originally scheduled to continue through 2008.
