Marc Jacobs' has given up his traditional 9pm slot on the Monday evening of New York Fashion Week for the 7pm slot on Friday , Vogue Uk reports.. Designers Proenza Schouler will take the 9pm slot Fashion Week Daily reports.
Marc's move comes after fashion gossips slammed him for the 2hr late start of his spring-summer 2008 show.
"I cannot guarantee that Marc won't be late," Jacobs' business partner Robert Duffy, told WWD.
"One thing I do know is that he will try to have the best show he can, and [to do that] he will want to finish every piece and make each one as beautiful as possible. If it comes late, it comes late. I really want to try to make it as convenient as possible for everybody, and to keep Marc calm and everybody who wants to see the show calm. I'm hoping people won't be as angry if late means 9pm rather than 11pm. And hopefully, he'll start at 7pm."
Jacobs' autumn/winter 2008-9 show is now scheduled to take place on Febraury 8 2008 at the New York State Armory on Lexington Avenue
