Dolce & Gabbanna Couture Collection : a taste of Milanese Eleganza
You won't see all of the Italian designer duo's Couture Collection online : they have decided to keep the show private and won't be displaying their latest creation online. The very upscale Alta Moda collection will be discrete, but by the few looks that we saw, it is to be amazing The runway show took place in the D&G's salon rooms - where the Milanese setting helped give the collection all its fabulosity : you could have sworn being in one of Visconti's The Leopard scenes. A spokesperson for the label said that the italian architecture, from the city's famous Duomo to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele dome provided inspiration. Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman saw also some connection with Fellini : "I loved the Dolce Vita look of the show and it was very special dining on the rooftop of the Atelier looking out at the illuminated Duomo. A very Milanese experience." Definitely something we expect to see more in the coming months.
