Gisele Bundchen's 15lb Weight Gain Amplified by Rail Thin Models

Dolce & Gabbana Fall-Winter 2007Brazilian beauty Gisele Bundchen looked extra curvy when she kicked off Dolce & Gabbana's fall 2007 Ready-to-wear collection, thanks to a reported 15lbs gain and a bevy of rail thin models.

As the only major fashion city adopting official model regulations, fashion gossips expected to see curvy models sashaying down the runway in Milan for Versace, Fendi & Prada.

Milan seems to have over looked the rules as skinny continues to dominate on runways, and "rightfully" so.

Super skinny Snejana who reportedly sat out New York Fashion week because of the weight controversy, worked the runway for Prada, Jil Sander and Burberry. But Snejana's not the thinnest; that honor may go to Vlada Roslyakova reports Fashionista.com

According to the Italian government, models' body- mass index must fall within the optimal range of 18 to 22 set by the World Health Organization, which means that a 1.75-meter, or 5-foot, 8.5-inch, model can weigh no less than 55 kilograms, or 121 pounds. Body-mass index is calculated in imperial measurements by multiplying weight in pounds by height in inches squared and multiplying by a conversion factor of 703; in metric measure, it is weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared.
