For Spring-Summer 2010, designer Siki im looked to 'The Lord of the Flies' by William Golding for inspiration. His focus the purity and sense of possibility inherent to a fresh start.
Siki's tackles tailoring for "Black Beat White Wonder" in a beautiful way, presenting something refined and modern. The predominantly black collection uses luxurious fabrics including Australian Merino Wool, Mongolian Cashmere, silk organza, and English and Japanese fabrics, for something so luxurious.... but a self luxury.
The collection consist of sculpted and engineered suits, tailored long and short skirts for men, a black silk trench and a bomber.
Im sees the Siki Im wearer “people who love to read, love music, love art, who like to travel, who like to challenge themselves, and who are not satisfied with the mainstream, but are trying to explore what else is out there.”
The former Senior Designer for Karl Lagerfeld and Helmut Lang presented his first mens collection line in a dark warehouse space in New York City’s Meatpacking District.
