Robert Geller Spring-Summer 2012 Runway Pictures
On September 10 Robert Geller presented his Spring Summer 2012 collection at Pier 59 in New York City.
Robert Geller designed the Spring/Summer 2012 collection with the desire to explore a new direction of silhouettes for men.
The clothes are a play on proportion and an encouragement to incorporate unorthodox shapes into men’s wardrobes. Circles, squares and triangles are suggested in pieces such as rounded overcoats, oversized jackets with boxy cuts and pants that start wide at the waist and taper at the ankles. Exaggerated hats, slouchy draping and unexpected tailoring also contribute to the collection’s experimentation with form.
The clothing is offered in unique interpretations of the season’s staple materials including light linens, washed cotton blends and super-soft jerseys rendered in deep shades of blues, earth tones and grays. The collection also makes use of mesh to add a geometric element to the collection’s texture.
The Spring/Summer 2012 accessories include hats, beaded necklaces and a continuing footwear partnership with Common Projects featuring the Derby, a modern take on the classic brogue.
